John Edelen Joins the Board of CynCast

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., Oct 6, 2007 – John Edelen, recently retired from Allstate Insurance Company, has joined CynCast’s board of directors. Edelen will help guide the company as it expands its integration services, transaction processing and business intelligence information to the auto claims industry.
During his 35-year career with Allstate, Edelen had a broad range of assignments, including claim strategy, claim litigation, a regional profit center operation, establishment of an Italian subsidiary of Allstate International, and the post-acquisition launch of Allstate’s Sterling Collision Repair Centers. He participated significantly in many of Allstate’s key strategic initiatives involving claim service processes and technologies.
A graduate of Rutgers and the New York Law School, Edelen was admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey. He has participated in a number of executive post- graduate courses, including studies at The Sloan School of Management at MIT, The Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and a consortium of MIT, Tufts and Harvard, in Boston.
Over the past 10 years, Edelen has served on a number of for-profit and non-profit boards, including Tech-Cor, LLC; Sterling Collision Repair Centers; the Certified Aftermarket Parts Association (CAPA); and the Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), where he currently serves as Board chairman.

Edelen said that his decision to the join the board “was partially influenced by Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s decision to make a minority investment in CynCast.”
