Enterprise Rent-A-Car and CynCast Team Up to Provide New Technology For Collision Repair Centers

St. Louis, MO, Thursday, September 20, 2007

September 20, 2007 (St. Louis, Mo.) – Enterprise Rent-A-Car today announced that it has partnered with software company CynCast to develop a new cutting-edge technology offering, that improves and simplifies the lines of communication among collision repair centers, insurance companies, and Enterprise.

ARMS® Automotive Exchange, a new software package developed jointly by Enterprise and CynCast, works with a repair center’s estimating and/or shop management system to automatically upload repair information to Enterprise via an EMS (estimate management software) file. This makes the replacement rental process more efficient by eliminating the need for phone calls to the shop to check the status of repairs.

“The ARMS® Automotive Exchange, powered by the CynCast Data Pump, creates an environment that significantly reduces the rental management workload,” said Lee Kaplan, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Enterprise. “Combined with our state-of-the-art ARMS® technology, we believe this provides a strategic advantage for our repair center and insurance partners, as well as for Enterprise.”

“This new software solution also protects the security of repair centers’ data and computer systems,” Kaplan said. “The ARMS® Automotive Exchange technology collects only the data contained in the EMS file directory, which is the industry standard designed for sharing estimate files between different computer systems and trading partners. This data, either via hard copy, email, fax, or estimating systems, has been shared between insurance companies, vehicle owners, rental car companies, and suppliers for years.”

“By enabling repair centers to seamlessly communicate estimate data electronically,” Kaplan said, “ARMS® Automotive Exchange reduces work for shops and ensures that the estimate data being shared with Enterprise and the insurance company is accurate and up-to-date.”

Enterprise/CynCast Partnership

Kaplan noted that neither Enterprise nor CynCast views or retrieves any other information from the shops’ internal systems, or edits or discloses any account information, without prior written consent. Enterprise and its vendors are able to provide key performance benchmarking information, in non-identifying aggregate form for the purpose of delivering much needed standardized data across the claims industry.

“We are excited to have been chosen to support Enterprise in their effort to deliver greater value by streamlining the flow of information between insurers and repair shops,” said Doug Kelly, president & COO for CynCast.

As part of this partnership agreement, Enterprise has taken a minority investment in CynCast.

Kelly added, “Enterprise’s decision to invest in our company will help advance our efforts in powering other industry applications, including those in use today with collision repair shops, information providers, insurers, car manufacturers, refinish suppliers, parts suppliers and other vendor
